Shipping and Delivery Policy
Effective date: 22 July 2026
This Shipping and Delivery Policy applies to products ordered from Print Depot through our website, email, telephone, an approved quotation, Google Shopping, Google Merchant Center, or another accepted sales channel.
This policy explains our production times, delivery areas, shipping charges, estimated delivery times, tracking, collection, damaged parcels, missing deliveries, and other shipping conditions.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under New Zealand law.
Shipping Summary

| Order tracking | Tracking information is provided where available after the order has been dispatched. |
| Local collection | Available by arrangement after Print Depot confirms that the order is ready. |
| Courier damage | Please report visible damage within 48 hours of delivery and retain the products, packaging, and courier label. |
| Missing delivery | Contact Print Depot if tracking shows an unexpected delay, unsuccessful delivery, or delivery that you cannot locate. |
1. Shipping Area
Print Depot provides delivery throughout New Zealand, including Auckland, the wider North Island, the South Island, and many rural locations.
Some rural, remote, island, restricted-access, or oversized-delivery locations may:
- Require additional delivery time.
- Incur additional freight or handling charges.
- Require collection from a courier depot.
- Require a specialised courier or freight service.
- Be unavailable for certain large or specialised products.
Where standard website shipping is unavailable for a destination or product, contact Print Depot for a freight quotation before placing the order.
2. International Shipping
International shipping is not included as a standard website delivery option unless expressly stated on the relevant product page or quotation.
International customers should contact Print Depot before ordering.
Where international shipping is accepted, the customer may be responsible for:
- International freight charges.
- Customs clearance.
- Import duties and taxes.
- Brokerage and administration charges.
- Destination-country restrictions or requirements.
International orders will be subject to separately confirmed delivery terms.
3. Production Time and Delivery Time
Production time and courier delivery time are separate.
Production time is the time required to prepare, print, finish, manufacture, pack, or source the order.
Courier transit time begins after the completed order has been dispatched or collected by the courier.
An estimated delivery date displayed on the website or provided in a quotation may include both production and courier transit time.
4. When Production Time Begins
Production time begins only after Print Depot has received all items required to complete the order, including:
- Full payment or approved credit-account authorisation.
- Complete and suitable artwork.
- All required product specifications.
- Customer-supplied data or content.
- Proof approval where a proof is required.
- Confirmation of the delivery address and instructions.
Delays in payment, artwork supply, artwork correction, proof approval, customer instructions, or delivery information will delay the production schedule.
5. Estimated Production Times
Most standard printing orders are normally produced within approximately 2–10 working days after all production requirements have been completed.
Production times may be longer for:
- Large-volume printing.
- Booklets, books, catalogues, and complex binding.
- Custom signage and fabricated products.
- Special paper, materials, inks, or finishing.
- Die-cutting, foiling, embossing, spot UV, or specialised lamination.
- Variable-data and personalised orders.
- Products supplied through specialist production partners.
- Orders requiring several separate production processes.
- Products temporarily affected by material availability.
The product page, accepted quotation, or written order confirmation may specify a different production time. Where a different production time is provided for a specific order, that timeframe will apply.
6. Working Days
For this policy, a working day generally means Monday to Friday, excluding New Zealand public holidays and any notified business-closure period.
Orders submitted, paid, or approved outside normal business hours may be treated as received on the next working day.
Weekends, public holidays, customer approval time, and courier delivery time are not normally included in production turnaround estimates.
7. Estimated Courier Transit Times
The following courier transit times are general estimates starting from the date of dispatch:
| Delivery area | Estimated transit after dispatch |
|---|---|
| Auckland metropolitan area | Approximately 1–3 working days |
| North Island urban addresses | Approximately 1–4 working days |
| South Island urban addresses | Approximately 2–6 working days |
| Rural or remote addresses | Allow approximately 2–4 additional working days |
| Large, palletised, or specialised freight | Confirmed with the quotation or dispatch information |
These are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery times unless Print Depot expressly confirms a guaranteed delivery service in writing.
8. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are calculated using factors that may include:
- Delivery location.
- Parcel size and weight.
- Number of parcels.
- Product dimensions and material.
- Rural or remote delivery charges.
- Courier, freight, or pallet service required.
- Special handling or urgent-delivery requirements.
The applicable shipping charge will normally be:
- Displayed at checkout.
- Included in an approved quotation.
- Confirmed before production where the charge cannot be calculated automatically.
Website shipping rates may not apply to oversized, unusually heavy, palletised, fragile, multi-location, or specialised products.
If an automatically calculated shipping charge is clearly incorrect for the order, Print Depot will contact the customer before dispatch to confirm the correct freight option and cost.
9. GST and Shipping Charges
Any applicable GST treatment will be displayed at checkout or stated on the quotation or invoice.
The total payable amount will include any shipping, delivery, handling, rural, or freight charges disclosed before the order is completed.
10. Free Shipping Offers
Free shipping applies only where it is expressly displayed on the product page, promotional offer, checkout page, quotation, or order confirmation.
Unless otherwise stated, free shipping promotions may exclude:
- Rural and remote addresses.
- Oversized or heavy products.
- Palletised freight.
- Multi-location delivery.
- Urgent or same-day delivery.
- International delivery.
- Special handling or installation.
Print Depot may apply reasonable order-value, product, location, or promotional conditions to a free shipping offer. These conditions will be shown with the offer.
11. Urgent Orders and Deadlines
Customers must tell Print Depot before placing an order if the products are required for a specific event, opening, launch, meeting, promotion, campaign, tender, or deadline.
Submitting a requested date does not guarantee that the date can be met.
A deadline is accepted only where Print Depot confirms it in writing after reviewing:
- The artwork.
- The product specifications.
- The required production processes.
- Material availability.
- The delivery destination.
- The courier or freight service available.
An urgent production or priority-delivery charge may apply.
Customers should allow sufficient contingency time for artwork corrections, proof approval, production, finishing, courier delays, and unexpected circumstances.
12. Order Tracking
Where tracking is available, Print Depot will normally send tracking information after the courier has collected or scanned the order.
Tracking information may take several hours to become active after dispatch.
Some local, specialised, pallet, contractor, or same-day delivery services may not provide automated tracking.
A tracking notification means that the order has been prepared for or handed over to the delivery provider. It does not guarantee delivery on a particular date or at a particular time.
13. Delivery Address
The customer is responsible for supplying a complete and accurate delivery address, including:
- Recipient or company name.
- Street address.
- Unit, suite, floor, or building number.
- Suburb, city, and postcode.
- Contact telephone number.
- Rural delivery number where applicable.
- Access, reception, loading-zone, or delivery instructions.
Print Depot is not responsible for delay or additional expense caused by incorrect, incomplete, or outdated delivery information supplied by the customer.
Additional courier, redelivery, address-correction, storage, or return-to-sender charges may be payable by the customer where the original delivery information was incorrect or incomplete.
14. Address Changes
Requests to change a delivery address must be submitted in writing as soon as possible.
Print Depot cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after:
- The courier label has been created.
- The parcel has been packed.
- The order has been dispatched.
- The freight provider has collected the products.
An address change may result in additional courier charges, redirection fees, or delivery delays.
For security reasons, Print Depot may request verification before changing the delivery address for a paid order.
15. PO Boxes and Restricted Addresses
Some courier, oversized, tracked, signature-required, or freight orders cannot be delivered to a PO Box or Private Bag.
Where a physical street address is required, Print Depot will contact the customer for an alternative delivery address.
Delivery to airports, ports, construction sites, shopping centres, hospitals, schools, secured buildings, event venues, or restricted-access locations may require additional information, coordination, or charges.
16. Authority to Leave
Where the customer requests or authorises an authority-to-leave delivery, the courier may leave the parcel at the nominated address without obtaining a signature.
The customer should select a location that is sheltered, secure, accessible, and suitable for the size and nature of the products.
Print Depot may decline an authority-to-leave request where:
- The order has a high value.
- The parcel is oversized.
- The delivery location is unsuitable.
- A signature is required by the courier or freight provider.
Any rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
17. Delivery Completion
Delivery will generally be considered completed when the order is:
- Delivered to the address supplied by the customer.
- Accepted by the customer or a person at that address.
- Delivered to a building reception, mailroom, loading area, or authorised representative.
- Left in an agreed or authorised safe location.
- Made available for collection in accordance with an agreed delivery arrangement.
Where delivery is to a business, school, apartment building, shopping centre, venue, or shared premises, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the recipient, reception, mailroom, or authorised representative knows to expect the delivery.
18. Unattended and Unsuccessful Delivery
If nobody is available to accept a delivery, the courier may:
- Leave the parcel where authorised.
- Leave a delivery card or electronic notification.
- Take the parcel to a courier depot or collection location.
- Schedule or request a redelivery.
- Return the parcel to Print Depot.
The customer may be responsible for reasonable redelivery, storage, return-to-sender, or redispatch charges where delivery was unsuccessful because:
- The delivery address was incorrect or incomplete.
- Access to the delivery location was unavailable.
- The recipient refused the order without a valid reason.
- The parcel was not collected from the courier within the required period.
19. Split Shipments
Print Depot may dispatch an order in more than one parcel or shipment where reasonably necessary because of:
- Parcel weight or size restrictions.
- Different production completion times.
- Products being supplied from separate production locations.
- Courier or freight requirements.
- Risk of damage if products are packed together.
Separate parcels may arrive on different days.
Where possible, tracking details will be provided for each tracked shipment.
20. Multiple Delivery Locations
Standard shipping charges apply to delivery to one address unless otherwise stated.
Orders requiring delivery to several addresses must be arranged before production or dispatch.
Additional charges may apply for:
- Sorting products by location.
- Separate packaging.
- Address-data preparation.
- Courier labels and administration.
- Individual freight charges.
21. Large, Heavy, and Palletised Deliveries
Large-format signage, display products, boards, banners, bulk printing, and other oversized or heavy products may require specialised freight or pallet delivery.
The customer must tell Print Depot before dispatch if the delivery location has:
- Restricted vehicle access.
- No loading area.
- No forklift or unloading equipment.
- Stairs, narrow entrances, or size restrictions.
- Limited delivery hours.
- Site induction or security requirements.
Standard delivery may be to the nearest safe ground-level unloading point.
Carrying products upstairs, moving products through a building, unpacking, assembly, placement, and installation are not included unless expressly stated in the quotation.
Additional waiting, handling, redelivery, tail-lift, or site-access charges may apply where the delivery conditions were not disclosed before dispatch.
22. Inspection on Delivery
Customers should inspect the external packaging and products promptly after delivery or collection.
If a parcel appears crushed, wet, torn, opened, or otherwise damaged:
- Photograph the parcel before opening it.
- Photograph the courier label.
- Photograph the affected products.
- Retain all packaging and damaged products.
- Contact Print Depot promptly.
Do not discard, alter, install, distribute, or return damaged products until Print Depot has provided instructions.
23. Damaged Deliveries
Please report visible courier damage to Print Depot within 48 hours of delivery where reasonably possible.
A damage report should include:
- The order or invoice number.
- A description of the damage.
- Photographs of the outer packaging.
- Photographs of the courier label.
- Photographs or video of the damaged products.
- The quantity affected.
Print Depot may require the damaged products and packaging to be retained, inspected, or returned before the claim is completed.
The 48-hour notification period assists us with courier investigations and does not remove or limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
24. Missing or Delayed Deliveries
If an order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, contact Print Depot with the order number and delivery details.
Print Depot may:
- Review the tracking information.
- Confirm the delivery address.
- Contact the courier or freight provider.
- Request proof of delivery or delivery-location information.
- Open a courier investigation.
Courier investigations may require reasonable time to complete.
Customers should not place a replacement order with another supplier at Print Depot’s expense unless Print Depot has authorised that expense in writing or the customer has a legal right to do so.
25. Tracking Shows Delivered but Parcel Cannot Be Found
If tracking shows that a parcel has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please:
- Check reception, mailrooms, loading areas, and safe locations.
- Ask other occupants, employees, neighbours, or building managers.
- Review any courier photograph or proof of delivery.
- Contact Print Depot promptly.
Print Depot will assist with a reasonable courier investigation where we arranged the delivery.
26. Incorrect Products or Missing Items
If an order arrives with incorrect products, incorrect quantities, or missing items, contact Print Depot within 7 calendar days of delivery where reasonably possible.
Please provide:
- The order or invoice number.
- A description of the issue.
- Photographs of the products and packaging.
- The quantity received and quantity believed to be missing.
Print Depot may compare the report with production, packing, dispatch, courier, and weight records before confirming the appropriate remedy.
27. Customer-Arranged Couriers
Where the customer arranges their own courier or freight provider:
- The customer is responsible for booking the correct service.
- The customer must provide accurate collection details.
- The customer must ensure the courier service is suitable for the products.
- The customer should arrange appropriate transit insurance where required.
Print Depot will take reasonable care when packing and releasing the products.
Responsibility for courier delay, loss, or damage involving a customer-appointed carrier will be determined according to the delivery arrangement and applicable law.
28. Collection from Print Depot
Collection may be available by arrangement from Print Depot in East Tāmaki, Auckland.
Customers must wait until Print Depot confirms that the order is complete and ready for collection.
When collecting an order:
- Bring the order number or collection confirmation.
- Ensure the vehicle is suitable for the size and weight of the products.
- Bring an authorised person where assistance is required.
- Inspect the products before leaving where reasonably practical.
Print Depot may request identification or written authorisation before releasing an order to another person.
Unless expressly agreed, Print Depot is not responsible for loading, securing, or transporting products in the customer’s vehicle.
29. Uncollected Orders
Orders should be collected within a reasonable time after the customer is notified that they are ready.
If an order is not collected within 30 days, Print Depot may charge reasonable storage and handling costs.
If an order remains uncollected for 60 days, Print Depot may, after making reasonable attempts to contact the customer and subject to applicable law:
- Dispose of or recycle the products.
- Recover reasonable storage, handling, and disposal expenses.
Custom work already completed remains payable even if the customer does not collect it.
30. Delivery Delays
Production and delivery estimates are provided in good faith based on the information available when the order is accepted.
Delivery may be delayed by circumstances including:
- Artwork or proof-approval delays.
- Incorrect customer information.
- Material or supplier shortages.
- Equipment or production failure.
- Courier or freight network disruption.
- Severe weather or natural disasters.
- Road closures, accidents, or transport disruption.
- Power, telecommunications, software, or system outages.
- Public-health or government restrictions.
- Events outside Print Depot’s reasonable control.
If a material delay occurs, Print Depot will take reasonable steps to communicate with the customer and provide updated information where available.
31. Consumer Delivery Rights
Where products are acquired for personal, domestic, or household use and Print Depot arranges delivery, Print Depot will address delivery problems in accordance with applicable New Zealand consumer law.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits a consumer’s rights where an order:
- Does not arrive.
- Arrives damaged.
- Is delivered materially later than agreed.
- Does not meet an applicable legal guarantee.
Customers should contact Print Depot directly so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy where required.
32. Business Delivery Terms
This section applies where products or services are acquired in trade and for business purposes.
Unless Print Depot expressly guarantees a deadline in writing, production and delivery dates provided to a business customer are estimates.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Print Depot is not liable to a business customer for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential loss arising from a delay, including:
- Loss of profit, revenue, business, or opportunity.
- Event, venue, staffing, travel, or accommodation costs.
- Advertising, campaign, or promotional expenses.
- Loss of goodwill or reputation.
- Penalties or claims under the customer’s agreement with another party.
- Costs arising from a missed launch, event, meeting, opening, tender, or deadline.
This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
33. Delivery Remedies
Where Print Depot accepts responsibility for a lost, damaged, or incorrect delivery, the available remedy may include:
- Locating or redirecting the shipment.
- Replacing or reprinting the affected products.
- Correcting the affected order.
- Providing an account credit.
- Providing a refund where required by law or agreed by Print Depot.
The appropriate remedy will depend on:
- The nature and seriousness of the issue.
- Whether the products can reasonably be replaced or corrected.
- The quantity affected.
- The results of any courier investigation.
- The customer’s rights under applicable law.
34. Shipping Refunds
Original shipping charges are not normally refundable where the delivery service was correctly completed.
Where Print Depot confirms that an order was lost, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise eligible for a remedy, shipping charges will be handled in accordance with:
- The circumstances of the claim.
- Our Refunds and Returns Policy.
- The customer’s applicable legal rights.
Unauthorised courier, redelivery, return, premium-service, or replacement-shipping costs will not be reimbursed unless required by law.
35. Returns
Products must not be returned without prior written authorisation from Print Depot.
Returns, replacements, reprints, credits, and refunds are governed by our Refunds and Returns Policy:
https://printdepot.co.nz/refund-returns/
36. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
Print Depot is not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Such events may include:
- Fire, flood, earthquake, storm, or natural disaster.
- War, terrorism, civil unrest, or government action.
- Pandemic, epidemic, or public-health restrictions.
- Strikes, industrial disputes, or transport interruption.
- Courier, freight, port, border, or customs disruption.
- Supplier failure or material shortages.

Where an affected order cannot reasonably be completed or delivered, Print Depot will address amounts paid for products or services that will not be supplied in accordance with applicable law and the agreed order terms.
37. Policy Changes
Print Depot may update this Shipping and Delivery Policy from time to time.
The policy applying to an order will generally be the version published or provided when the order was accepted, unless:
- A change is required by law.
- The parties agree otherwise in writing.
- The change is administrative and does not materially reduce the customer’s rights.
